From Tech Layoffs to Travel Tech: The Story Behind Tripora

Hey, we're Nace (pronounced Nat-se) and Natalija.
For us, travel has always been about discovering hidden gems and connecting with new people. But we had a secret. We dreaded the planning.
The endless hours spent scrolling through blogs and YouTube videos. The messy spreadsheets. The constant worry that we were missing something. It was a chore that consumed so much time, and it often killed the excitement before the trip even began.
The Turning Point
In 2024, our lives took an unexpected turn. We were both let go from our tech jobs. With this newfound, unplanned freedom, we made a bold decision: we booked a one-month trip to the Philippines, leaving in just six days.
The planning panic set in immediately. But Nace had an idea. He suggested we use AI to quickly map out our entire one-month itinerary. What normally takes weeks of stressful research and planning? Done in a single day.
The Magic of Seamless Travel
The result was magical. Our plan was so seamless and full of incredible experiences that other travelers we met were blown away. They scrapped their own plans and asked to join ours. We spent the month island hopping with a new group of friends, all brought together by an itinerary that let us focus on the adventure, not the logistics.
When we returned, we looked at a long list of business ideas. But the choice was obvious. With our combined 37+ years in tech (Nace building software and Natalija ensuring its quality for 20 years), we knew we had to build the tool we wished we'd had all along.
And so, Tripora was born.
We have a simple mission. Plan your next trip in minutes instead of days. Spend less time stressing and more time experiencing. Discover a new culture, try something you've never done before, and travel with confidence, not anxiety.
We're so glad you're here. We can't wait to see where you go.
